Join us in the Cathedral for Choral Evensong on Sunday 12 February, The Second Sunday before Lent, at 6pm.
SURREY VOICES
We welcome Surrey Voices, directed by Malcolm Hicks, and thank them for leading the music for this service. The organ is played by Bernard Barker.
Further details can be found on the Girls choir in order of service which can be download from Guildford Cathedral - Cathedral Diary (guildford-cathedral.org)
AN IN-BETWEEN TIME
We have marked the conclusion of Christmas and Epiphany with the celebration of Candlemas on 2 February. At that service we turned our attention away from the cradle of the baby Jesus towards the cross, upon which Jesus gave his life for us. Ash Wednesday is 22 February this year and we will have two services of Holy Communion with Imposition of Ashes – 9.30am (preceded by Morning Prayer at 9am) and 7pm Choral Eucharist with Imposition of Ashes.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT
Your support makes a real difference to the ministry and mission of Guildford Cathedral. Thanks to your gifts of time and money we’re proud to open our doors for free, 365 days a year, meeting the needs of both pilgrim and visitor. If you would like to support our work, if you are a member of one of our congregations and have not already done so, please consider joining our Planned Giving Scheme via the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) and set up a regular donation by direct debit.
