Joins us in the Cathedral for Choral Evensong with Valediction and Installation of Choristers on Sunday 7 July, 6.00pm
ORDINARY TIME
In the church year there are two periods known as Ordinary Time. The second period is that between the day after Pentecost until the day before Advent Sunday. The liturgical colour is green signifying life and growth in God. This provides an opportunity to reflect upon the Christian life of faith in the every-day – living out the life and love of Christ wherever we find ourselves.
MUSIC TONIGHT
We welcome the choir of Holy Trinity, Guildford, to sing Evensong with the Cathedral Choir this evening, and The Reverend Canon Simon Butler, Rector of Holy Trinity, as our preacher.
PRECES AND RESPONSES Bernard Rose (1916-1996)
CANTICLES Evening Service in D George Dyson (1883-1964)
