St Peter's Church, Winchcombe

St Peter's Church, near the centre of Winchcombe, is next to the site of what was once an important abbey. In Saxon times, our town was briefly the home of the kings of Mercia. St Kenelm, a martyred prince, was buried at the abbey which became a centre of pilgrimage. Winchcombe continues to welcome a large number of visitors today.
Our main Sunday service is usually at 10.30am, followed by refreshments. We look forward to welcoming you to any of our services or other activities.

St Michael's has Holy Communion Services at 9.15am. Dates can be checked via the parish website.
We are currently streaming 10.30am services from St Peter's online via the parish website.
St Michael's Church, Stanley Pontlarge, is a lovely little medieval church set in quiet surroundings. Most of our regular services use a form of worship drawn from the Book of Common Prayer.

St Mary's Church, Sudeley
Welcome to the Parish of Winchcombe!
St Mary's has a service each month through the Summer.
This years services are on August 22 and September 26 at 3:30pm
We are currently streaming 10.30am services at St Peter's online via the parish website.
St Mary's Church is unique in being both the chapel of Sudeley Castle and a parish church in its own right. Queen Katherine Parr, the last and surviving wife of King Henry VIII, lived and died in the castle and her tomb is in the church.

St Mary’s, Great Washbourne
St Mary’s church in Great Washbourne is a beautiful, historic church which features in Simon Jenkins’ book ‘England’s Thousand best churches’.
It is also a living church where the local community meet for regular services and which is used for various other community events during the year.
From Easter through to the end of summer time the church is open daily to welcome visitors. At other times, a local neighbour will be able to let you in - see the church noticeboard for more details.
We regularly collect items for the North Cotswold Foodbank.

Introduction: St Peter’s is an historic building at the heart of a small rural community. All receive a warm welcome at our friendly Sunday services. Normally, the church is opened every day at around 9 am and locked at dusk.
