Bishop Rachel’s first career was as a Speech and Language Therapist, then she trained as a priest and worked in London. She was ordained as the first female bishop in 2015 and is the bishop responsible for HM Prisons. She is the patron of the Nelson Trust in Stroud who support people who have faced trauma and addiction and also works for a charity which raises awareness of body image anxiety in young people.
