Assistance dogs are welcome at St Mary's.

All areas of the ground floor are accessible to wheelchair users except the church kitchen and toilet.


Our Building

St Mary's has 5 stained glass windows. 1. The East Window - dating back to the Victorian restoration. 2. South Chancel Window - re-set medieval fragments found during the Victorian restoration. 3. South Nave Window - Commissioned to commemorate Queen Elizabeth's Silver Jubilee. 4 & 5. Lower Tower Windows.

St May's is open for individual prayer during daylight hours and we have a prayer tree at the back of the church which all are welcome to use.

Grade II* Listed. C13 with C12 remains and C14 additions. Restored 1870 when north and south walls were taken down. Chancel restored in 1872.


Music and Worship

Bell ringing practice on Wednesday nights and Sunday service ringing every Sunday 10-10:30am. Contact the Tower Captain Graham Lee on 01386 858422

Groups, Courses and Activities

St Mary's welcomes parents and toddlers, there are boxes of toys and books kept in the North Chapel which is kept warm during Sunday services in the Winter.
