Getting here

St James's was built in the second half of the 19th century and stands in the heart of this, the most northerly village in Wiltshire.  Designed by James Brooks of London, the church  is described by the Victoria Society as "an important work by a better Victorian architect which shows Brooks' simplicity of line and use of local materials"  The chancel has a fine stone groined roof and the stained glass windows, gifted by six separate benefactors, are by G J Baguley of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
