The Churches Building Council, supported by The Pilgrim Trust, have awarded Harnhill Church a grant of £3,000 towards the costs of conservation repairs to the Medieval bell frame - which contains one of the ten oldest bells in England (c1350) and one that is 17th century. The project has also been supported by The Sharpe Trust with an award of £450. It is hoped that works might be done later in 2021 or 2022, subject to fund-raising. We need something in the order of £15,000 for conservation repairs to the structural beams that support the frame and works to the frame and bells. Another challenge for this small rural church, which provides an important place of peace, for prayer and hope.
