St Mary, Ampney St Mary - 'The Ivy Church'

This delightful church building lies on its own in meadows between Ampney Crucis and Ampney St Peter on the A419.  This is a plague church and the villagers moved away from the Ampney Brook hundreds of years ago.  The surrounding land gets rather wet and boggy in the winter - so we tend to hold services of Evensong in the summer on the first Sunday of the month from May - September each year; and other special services from time to time.

There is some hardstanding car parking at the front of the grassed parking area.
