St Mary, Ampney St Mary - 'The Ivy Church'
This delightful church building lies on its own in meadows between Ampney Crucis and Ampney St Peter on the A419. This is a plague church and the villagers moved away from the Ampney Brook hundreds of years ago. The surrounding land gets rather wet and boggy in the winter - so we tend to hold services of Evensong in the summer on the first Sunday of the month from May - September each year; and other special services from time to time.
There is some hardstanding car parking at the front of the grassed parking area.

Safeguarding
Our parish of Ampney St. Peter w St. Mary is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Gloucester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Mrs Myra Bye or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor whose details are below. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
