It was great to see a good number of people at our Mothering Sunday service and tea this year. There were families, friends and visitors among them, whose ages spanned from 2 to 92. We were grateful to Charles for leading us through the service with moments of joy, humour and also reflection. It was a bright sunny day and everyone was given a cheerful posy of daffodils and greenery beautifully prepared by Sandra, the children presenting their parents with theirs first. The children (and their parents) who had scattered grass seed on bare earth outside the South door last Easter saw the rich new green grass that had appeared there, a foretaste of the Easter story. Afterwards, the offerings of tea and cake were gratefully received! Our thanks to all who helped and all who came.
