Sunday at the Flower Festival

Another glorious day of sunshine enabled us to keep our doors open to welcome visitors and friends for the second day of the flower festival. In the morning the highlight was our Holy Communion Service led by Bishop Rachel - a joyful occasion in which, reflecting on the ascension of Christ, we were encouraged to keep "looking up" with hope whether we were at a high or a low in our own lives. There was music, laughter and more coffee, tea and cake. (One couple on holiday who visited Saturday came back to try different cakes on Sunday and said that they would recommend all that they sampled!) The flowers still looked wonderful and were appreciated by our steady flow of visitors. If you haven't seen them yet, we'd love to share them with you. Most of the displays will be left in church for a few days so do call in, enjoy the beautiful arrangements and the smell of the lilies and roses, sign our visitors' book and, if you are able, make a donation which will go towards us finishing paying for the new toilet. We'd be very grateful.
