About Us
Cheltenham Minster with St Matthew is a church community at the heart of Cheltenham. Together we worship and explore what it means to follow Jesus Christ and share his hope. We are a church family of all ages, backgrounds and situations in life, and so. whoever you are, we welcome you and would like to think you can find a home amongst us. We have two church buildings within close proximity where we offer 3 different styles of service in which to pursue, within the Anglican church, our commitment to the Bible as God's word and a desire to share this with others.
There are two services at St Matthew's: at 10.00, a lively service in a friendly family atmosphere where all ages come together for the first part, after which those up to school year 9 move to their different groups. There is a supervised creche for the under 2s throughout the service. Tea and coffee are served afterwards. Holy Communion is usually celebrated on 1st Sunday of the month.
Our 6.30 service is our most informal, with Bible teaching, prayers and worship led by a band. Many who come are students and young adults. Tea and coffee are served as people come in.
