St Arilda's Oldbury

St Arilda's is a small country church in the village of Oldbury-on-Severn, with a passion and heart for the local community, and a small but enthusiastic worshipping congregation. Part of the wider benefice, Oldbury also shares worship and events with churches in the neighbouring churches in Thornbury, and with Shepperdine. This is a deeply welcoming church for visitors, walkers and enquirers, all are welcome. We proudly achieved our Eco Church Silver Award with Arocha in 2020.

Services are running across the benefice. If we can help you with searching for a place of worship, or planning for services for life events don't hesitate to get in touch with our benefice office at [email protected]

The benefice of Thornbury, Oldbury and Shepperdine is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Gloucester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
