Rev'd James Faragher to leave St Oswald's after 7 years

This weekend, Rev'd James Faragher will be saying goodbye to ministry in Coney Hill, Abbeydale and Saintbridge after seven years in the role as vicar.

James and his family will be moving to Cheltenham to take up a new post as Associate Rector at St Barnabas Church in the parish of West Cheltenham.

James said, "Over the last seven years, Coney Hill has become home for me and my family, and we will miss the warmth and friendship of the whole community. I have enjoyed the challenge of leading St Oswald's through a period of change - not least through the pandemic - and I look forward to hearing about some of the fantastic ministry and vision that will continue to develop in the future."

There will be leaving party for James and the family on Saturday 21st September at 5pm.

James' final service will be at 10.30am on Sunday 22nd September, and he will be licensed in his new role at St Barnabas' Church, Cheltenham on Thursday 17th October.
