St Paul's - 'The Church In The Woods'

We are the United Parish of Parkend and Viney Hill, consisting of two churches - St Paul's, Parkend and All Saints, Viney Hill.

The Vision for our Parish is that we share in God’s work of spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ and His love in our communities, spiritually, practically and sensitively.

Sunday morning Communion is celebrated at 10 a.m. at St Pauls, Parkend.

Sunday evening services are held at 5 p.m. at All Saints, Viney Hill to include  a Communion service there once a month.

There is also a Wednesday morning BCP said Communion at St Paul's at 10 a.m..

For full details see here

The Home Communion service is also being offered again. If you or someone you know has need of this please contact Liz Brobyn via our website.

We continue to share an on-line liturgy on Sundays. Details in 'More about this Event' in each service below, or here.

WE also have two short videos -  a two-minute prayer here to start the day with here, , and a five minute Compline for the evening here.

We try to have St Paul's open every day from 10 (ish) am to 4 (ish) pm.

We have now rejoined the mains water supply! Changes to the Private Water Supply regulations and global warming (!) made it unfeasible to continue taking water from the roof but we will continue to use water as wisely and environmently  friendly as possible.

Safeguarding

"Our parish of Parkend and Viney Hill is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Gloucester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor . If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services."
