PUMPKIN PRAYER ‘When I carve a pumpkin’

Dear Jesus,

When cutting the top off we pray that our minds will be open to learn about you

When Cleaning out the inside – please take away our sins and forgive the wrong things we do

When Cutting out the eye shapes - Open our eyes so we can see your love

We cut the nose in the shape of a cross – to say sorry for the times we have turned our noses up at what you have given us.

We cut the ear shapes as a book - Open our ears so we will hear your word

Open our mouths to tell others that you are near and love us.

We pray your light will shine in all we say and do.
