We gather to remember Jesus' meal with his disciples the night before he died through song, scripture and Holy Communion. The service concludes with an opportunity to watch and pray, as we remember Jesus praying in the Garden of Gethsemane. This is a service of joy and reflection.

St Peter's Church, Newnham-on-Severn

Welcome to St Peter’s, Newnham on Severn! We are a friendly and active church, integral to the village community, welcoming people of all ages and abilities. It is the largest building in the village, set on the cliff overlooking the Severn, and a good place for groups to meet, and for meals, concerts, Burns Night and all sorts of things.

The church is open every day (between about 9am and 5pm) for private prayer, or just a quiet moment.  Our church services are usually every Sunday at 10am and every Thursday at 10.15am. All are very welcome - and do stay for coffee/tea/biscuits after each service.

We hope, too, that you can find other useful things on this site. If you've just moved into the village we've produced a 'Welcome to Newnham' pack which gives details of all of our organisations, clubs, facilities etc. and a map. Do get in touch if you'd like a welcome pack, if you need more information or you want to talk anything through - see our contact details on the 'About us' page.
