St John the Evangelist Church was transformed by the display of trees provided by local organisations and businesses. Our many visitors really enjoyed looking at the inventive decorations and identifying the contributors. The festival was a great success because it brought people into the church who might otherwise not have come. It also raised over £800 in donations, half of which will be going to the Gloucester City Mission Winter Shelter Bed Appeal and the other half to the building repair fund.
Our regular fund raising coffee mornings on the first saturday of the month are back from 7th August. And to start, we are raising funds for the Vale Hospital League of Friends. The Vale Hospital has played a vital role in the successful vaccination programme this year and this is our chance to say thank you.The coffee morning, and popular produce stall are at Slimbridge Village Hall from 10.30 til noon.
