A very warm welcome to our parish.

St John the Evangelist is a living church, at the heart of our beautiful village of Slimbridge.

We are blessed with an historic building which dates back to the 12th Century, where thousands of people have been baptised, married and had their funerals. It is a place of quiet and peace, and is open every day.

You are welcome to visit, to explore the beauty of the building, to enjoy the quiet stillness, for private prayer or to join us in worship.
