Gloucester Cathedral

Gloucester Cathedral is a glorious sacred space at the heart of the city, with a history that can be traced back to 679AD. Worship takes place daily, and all are warmly welcome to attend. The Cathedral is also open daily for general visiting, with entry by voluntary donation. There is something for everyone, including regular guided tours, a family-friendly exhibition space, a peaceful garden and the chance to walk through the world-famous Cloister that has starred in three of the Harry Potter movies. The Monk's Kitchen offers homemade cakes, sandwiches and coffee, whilst the Cathedral Gift Shop is the perfect place to pick up a souvenir from your visit.

We are committed to ensuring that Gloucester Cathedral is accessible for all. Further information about accessibility can be found on our website: https://gloucestercathedral.org.uk/visit/accessibility

Safeguarding

Gloucester Cathedral is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Gloucester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
