Unexpectedly a member of our PCC was approached before Christmas and asked if the Rt Hon. Liz Truss MP could attend our Coffee Social having heard via the grapevine of its' success story, something none of us were anticipating. She spent about an hour chatting to volunteers and visitors alike and politics was not a topic of conversation. It is a wonderful accolade to all the volunteers, and PCC members whose hard work has made this a success. We must also thank Parish and District Councilors who have given us their support as they are the ones who made it possible to purchase a water boiler and have it installed, along with purchasing some additional items like larger coffee pots!
