Fear not - although it might seem that we are disappearing under scaffolding and tarpaulin, we are very much alive and functioning. Services are going ahead 'as normal', with the former COVID precautions still in place. We hope to be able to sing in the not too distant future, and new choir members would always be welcome. With the funding from National Lottery Heritage Fund, we can already see the physical changes that are going ahead, but there is lots going on in the background or 'virtual world' too. With part of the funding we are setting up an Infopoint system. This will allow visitors to the church to use their smartphones or tablets to listen to, or read information about the church as they wander around. There will be a guided tour, pointing out interesting features of the church, and for those interested in the memorials and stained glass windows, there will be more information to read, thanks to Bridget and her research. The Content Creator is in the process of adding information to the system. Watch this website for further details, and to get a sneak preview of some of the information that will be available.
