On Saturday 4th June 2022 St Mark's celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee in style. There was a cake stall, tombola, plant stall, Sunflower stall in aid of the Ukraine, children's outdoor games and, of course, the fantastic tea stall. The weather was a little cool and breezy, but it did not rain, just spotted for a few seconds. People from the village came along to participate and look around the church, which had been specially decorated both for the Jubilee and for Pentecost. At 3.30pm the Rural Dean, Rev'd Nigel Whitehouse, came along to bless and dedicate the memorial bench. It was a glorious, prayerful few minutes and everyone was bathed in sunshine. Look in the gallery here for some of the pictures or check out the Facebook page. Something spectacular is planned for Harvest on 18th September, so please keep your eyes peeled.
