The Mass, or Eucharist of Sunday is the main main Service of the Christian week.
This is the only Service given personally by Jesus to the Church by Jesus.
(Modern rite traditional liturgy, celebrated with a light touch.)

We use the New English Hymnal and Celebration Hymnal for Everyone.

Refreshments to follow, including REAL coffee!

We begin outside the Church (weather permitting)
The Parish Mass of Palm Sunday, beginning the Commemoration of the Lord's Entry into Jerusalem, and including the reading of the Passion.

Act 1 of the Easter Festival
We join Jesus and the Disciples at the Last Supper in which he inaugurates the Eucharist [Mass/Holy Communion...] and calls his followers to loving service by the teaching action of Foot Washing. At the end of Mass we have our own Garden of Gethsemane and hear the words of Jesus, "Can you not watch with me for one hour?"

The ancient service The Liturgy of the Passion is reflective celebration: three Bible readings including the communal reading of the Passion story from St John's Gospel, loved hymns, prayer, the Veneration of the Cross, and holy Communion.

The solemn blessing in darkness of the Easter (Paschal) Candle, representing the unquenchable light of the Risen Christ. The light is shared around all who are present.
FESTIVAL OF STORY
eadings from the holy Bible, calling to mind God's saving actions 'from the beginning', culminating is the Resurrection of Jesus to new and everlasting life.
FESTIVAL OF WATER
The Blessing of the Baptismal Water of the Font, and the renewal of our Baptismal Christian commitment.
FESTIVAL OF THANKSGIVING
the first Eucharist and Holy Communion of Easter.

Act 3.2 of the Easter Festival
The disciples begin to come to terms with the amazing truth of the Empty Tomb:
Jesus Christ is Risen to new and everlasting life! Alleluia!

After the Mass we sing the mid-day Regina Cæli (thrice-daily commemoration of the resurrection during Eastertide), uniting with the Lord's blessed mother Mary in rejoicing in the resurrection of her Son and Saviour.
