Message from the Priest and PCCThe APCM scheduled for Sunday April 18th in the morning has had to be rescheduled, as it has not been possible for the PCC to complete the necessary preliminaries (required by law) in time to make the meeting legal, due to indisposition of individuals coupled with the busy time of Easter. We apologise profoundly to those who have had this date in diaries for some time, the new date is proposed to be Sunday 23rd May, (still within the time set out for the business of APCMs).
On Thursday 10th December, our Church clock was taken down and left the village for the first time since it was made in 1742, heading to Cumbria. Many people have asked about contributing to the restoration project. We feel as strongly as they do that the clock should be returned as soon as possible to be reunited with the bell striking the hour for the village. All donations given will be used for the restoration of the clock/bell along with the fabric of the Church building. Diocese of Ely Everton-cum-Tetworth PCC please contact our Church Warden 07967445223 for Bank details.
