Meet Sue and Juliette

Hi, my name is Rev. Sue and I am the Rector for St John the Baptist Church in Woodhurst.

It has been a great pleasure to serve the village of Woodhurst since 2014. I live in Somersham and look after the churches of Woodhurst, Somersham, Pidley and Old Hurst.

My husband is Nigel and we have three children - Hazel, Charlotte and Bella and a dog called Poppy who is the most sensible of all of us.

My hobbies are hillwalking and sewing and I try to work off all the cake I eat by going to the gym or doing pilates.

We have services at different times and would welcome you to explore your faith. Our next service is always advertised on the board outside the church - or please do check the events section of this facebook page.

I am thankful for all the wonderful support I have received from villagers who love the church and help to organise events and coffee mornings.

I would really love to hear from you - I enjoy a cup of coffee and chat, maybe you have a prayer request? I am here to help.

And please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like to be part of the team or would like to know more about worship or faith in Woodhurst.

Meet Juliette!

Juliette lives in Chatteris where she has served as a Licensed Lay Minister (LLM) at her parish church. In October last year, she joined the Benefice of Somersham, Pidley, Woodhurst and Old Hurst as an Ordinand (training to be a priest in the Church of England) to gain experience in rural ministry alongside her studies. She will continue training with us up until June of next year.
