Rogation Sunday walk to Anglesey Abbey & lunch!

Occuring
for 2 hours, 30 mins
Venue
St Peter's, Horningsea to Anglesey Abbey
Address
St Peter's, Horningsea to Anglesey Abbey

Join us for some or all of the day when, traditionally, parishes ‘beat the bounds’ and pray for God’s blessing on the land. There will be two walks – one from St Peter’s Horningsea to Anglesey Abbey and the second from Anglesey Abbey to All Saints Teversham (both are 4 miles). In between there will be the opportunity for lunch at Anglesey Abbey c. 1.30pm – either sharing a picnic lunch or eating at the Redwoods Restaurant. The day will be topped and tailed with worship. We will co-ordinate lifts so that participants can get to and fro between their starting-point, destination, and home!

All Saints, Teversham

All Saints is a lovely church at the end of the village nearest the airport.  It supports its own popular and highly regarded Church of England School and has a beautiful (and open) churchyard.  The church community is small but friendly; we have services on three Sundays in the month.  On other Sundays we join with our friends at either Fen Ditton or Horningsea for a 'Three Parishes' service.  Our Rector, Canon Nick Moir, looks after all three parishes and lives on the new Marleigh estate.

Safeguarding

Our parish of All Saints Teversham is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Ely’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (use the button below for contact info). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
