In Fen Ditton we are welcoming back Canon Jessica Martin as our preacher at the 10.30am service - this will also give us opportunity to say a farewell of sorts as Jessica has been appointed as Dean of Chelmsford Cathedral. There will be a bring & share lunch after the service: you bring main course and crocks, etc and we provide drinks and pudding (donations of puddings welcome). If you can help decorate the church for Harvest please do come along tomorrow (Saturday) morning.

You are invited to bring food items as Harvest gifts to our services. Tinned and dry goods will go (largely) to the Abbey People food hub; fresh food will be taken to Jimmy's Nightshelter

St Mary the Virgin, Fen Ditton

St Mary's Church stands close to the River Cam and is a much loved landmark for rowers, dogwalkers and others seeking refuge from the busy city.  Our parish includes the ancient village but also a good part of the urban development (built in old Ditton's fields) and all of the newest local development, Marleigh.  We have an active church community with services at 10.30am each Sunday, except the last Sunday of the month when we join with our sister churches in Teversham or Horningsea.  There are regular midweek study evenings and a coffee morning on alternate Wednesdays.
