About Us
A small church in a small and beautiful village near the Natonal Trust's Wicken Fen. The church is kept open during the day for visitors to look round or pray. Sunday services are mostly Common Worship (modern language) or lay-led morning worship. The services include hymns but the psalm and responses are spoken.
Coffee is served after the service.
There is a home group which meets on Wednesday evenings for Bible study and discussion.
Currently the parish is without an incumbent and is looked after by a team of ministers co-ordinated by the Rural Dean.
The parish of Wicken: St Laurence is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Office), PSOs. The Diocese of Ely’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services. https://www.elydiocese.org/safeguarding/
