Welcome in Easter Day. Followed by breakfast together.

The Good Shepherd

We are a welcoming friendly church of all ages learning to love God and demonstrate His love to our neighbours. As a church we are growing and seeking God’s will for our community as we pray and study His word together.

Our hope and prayer is to see God’s kingdom come here in Arbury, King’s Hedges and Orchard Park and for lives to be transformed by the love of Jesus.

Regular services

8:30am Said Holy Communion - all are welcome to join us for this simple communion service with no hymns. service lasts about 30 mins. (No service on Christmas Day, or Sundays 29 Dec and 5 Jan.)

10am Holy Communion - All are welcome to join us for a communion service with hymns and songs. We have our children's and young people's group 'inside/outside'. We all start together in the church and then those who want to can go outside for the groups. Refreshments are served in the church after the service.

COVID safety: We have now returned to serving communion in the normal way, with a common cup. However, communion may be given with the wafer dipped into the wine, or just take the bread if you prefer. There will be an explanation in the service, or please speak to the people serving to let them know your preference.

The service is projected on a screen and no booklets are handed out. Details of the service, church notices and other items of interest to the congregation are distributed in a weekly e-mail. To be added onto the list, or for any queries about church services, please e-mail Ruth at [email protected].

The parish of Chesterton: The Good Shepherd is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Ely’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
