About Us
St Clement’s is a traditional church with a liturgy based on the Book of Common Prayer. It stands within the Catholic tradition of the Church of England and adheres to Catholic teaching and practice. The church still looks, feels and smells like how many people imagine a church should be.
We have recently embarked upon a process of renewal. This is taking the form of opening the church building Weds – Sat afternoons for quiet prayer, devotions or for visitors just to look around our eclectic interior; engaging in an intelligent way with aspects of the Christian faith; promoting Christian social engagement with the world; reaching out by events and activities into the community.
We warmly invite you to become part of the worshipping and social life of this church.
We are a largely gathered congregation of people who appreciate a traditional liturgy. We feel we are transformed by our encounter with God and one another that we experience here. The parish, which is in the Diocese of Ely, is under the extended sacramental care of the Rt Revd Norman Banks, Bishop of Richborough and Assistant Bishop of Ely.
