St Chad's Sunderland

We are a friendly and inclusive church, welcoming all ages and backgrounds to our worship. We serve the area of Farringdon, Lakeside (Gilley Law) and East and Middle Herrington, on the southwest edge of Sunderland. We believe that worship is for all ages, and so children of all ages are welcomed and fully included in all services. We are here to serve the whole parish in any way we can.

Our Sunday Services are a Said Eucharist at 8.00am, a Sung Eucharist at 9.30am and Evensong at 6.30pm. Weekday Eucharists are held on Tuesdays at 9.30am and Wednesdays at 6.30pm.

We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Durham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Katherine Probert on 07401554484 or [email protected], the Priest in Charge, Rev'd John D'Silva on 07309669680 or [email protected], or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor, Beth Miller on [email protected] or [email protected] or 07968 034075.
