Pupil Voice Groups
Each new year at St Paul’s brings a new opportunity to make our school the best that it can be. We believe that it is our pupil voices that make our school such a strong community. Meet the teams that are now in place and take a look at our plans, in brief, for the year ahead...
School Council
Our school council is made up of two children per class from years 1-6, we meet fortnightly to discuss issues in school and ways to make improvements. Last year, we assisted in OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learn) fundraisers, held a whole- school library logo competition and met with a SIAMs (The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspector helping our school achieve a fantastic judgment.
Recently, we were invited to City Hall to meet our Mayor and two local councillors, Councillor Mordey and Councillor Leonard. It was an excellent opportunity to see how democracy works on a local scale and we are very inspired for our forthcoming meetings in school
Safety Squad
During our first meeting we decided on our actions for this year. With Safety at the forefront of everything we do, we aim to ensure that our school building and yards are litter free and our OPAL play equipment and activities are safe.
Digital Leader
Our focus in the year ahead will be further raising Awareness of E-Safety. Each class has a digital leader expert to help with this and we meet regularly to discuss introducing new apps across school and we are embedding our computing curriculum by helping our friends.

Anti-Bullying Team
Last year, our team had a wonderful year as we secured the Gold Charter Award! We also organised Odd Socks day, ran a poster competition and led worships to raise awareness on the issue to bullying. Our new representatives are very excited for the important work they will do in school this year!
The Mustard Seeds
At St Paul’s, the lesson we can learn from the parable of the mustard seed is woven throughout everything that we do. Our Mustard Seed group are made up of children who pledge to help everyone in our school see that we can flourish and grow our branches in various ways! Watch out for us in the community, helping Father David in the Harvest service later in the month!
Our School Government
New to St Paul’s this year, we have elected a school government made up of our year 5 and 6 children who are a part of each of the other pupil voice groups. We pledge to meet half-termly to bring together the voices of each of our teams so that we can share all of the wonderful things that we have been doing.
We can’t wait to see what positive changes we can make to our school this year!
