Sung Evensong, from the Book of Common Prayer, is one of the gems of traditional Anglican worship. Led by the choir, the rest of the congregation join in hymns, in singing the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis, and in the chanted responses; and listen to readings from the Bible, a sung Psalm and Anthem, and a short sermon.

Sunderland Minster is an ancient, and modern, church at the heart of the city of Sunderland. We are a faithful and lively Christian community, and a part of the Church of England.
