On Good Friday we remember the death by crucifixion of Jesus. It is a day of deep reflection and sorrow as we remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross. The tabernacle is empty, church has been stripped back, the burning tabernacle lamp is extinguished. There is an emptiness and a feeling of desolation. Join us at The Good Shepherd as we enter into the depths of the Paschal Triduum (the great Three days). Everyone is welcome here!

The Easter Vigil & First Mass of Easter 5.30pm

Holy Saturday occupies a unique position within Holy Week and the great Triduum, nestled between the sorrow of Good Friday and the joy of Easter Sunday. It is a day marked by hopeful anticipation, as the new fire of Easter burns the solemn liturgies begin with the blessing of the new paschal candle and singing of the Exultet. The light of Christ begins to illuminate the church, piercing the gloom of death as new life shines forth.
