This half term we are thinking puppets, painting and a range of new games together with space to make new friends. Families are always welcome at Places of Welcome. Open from 11 until 1 we are at:St. Peter's Church Centre, York Avenue Jarrow Tuesday 30th May andSt. john the Baptist's Community Hall, Nairn Street Thursday 1st June.PLUS bring your children to St. Paul's Church and pick up free colouring pages and crayons. St. Paul's Church is open Monday to Saturday 10.30 to 3.30 and Sundays 2-4.
We recognise that people are in different places when it comes to their faith journey. Add to that different age groups and the many ways people prefer to reflect, learn or worship, not to mention gathering at different times of the day and days of the week. With all of this in mind we are offering a Lent programe which embraces the traditional elements and a few new activities too. So please do see if there is anything that would appeal to you and come along.And so with Stations of the Cross, a Prayer Group, Lent Course Morning Prayer to Pilgrim's Prayers, a Family Movie , Messy Mothering Sunday and Prayer Wall. Our Places of Welcome and Warm Spaces will continue - but there will be a quiet, prayerful space too for those who seek it.Lent begins with two services in the parish for Ash Wednesday, 22nd February:10 am at St. Simon's Church, Wenlock Road, Simonside, South Shields and7 pm at St. Peter's Church, York Avenue, Jarrow.For more information and full details of dates and times please see the attached information.Everyone is Welcome
