About Us

Welcome to St Mark & St Cuthbert, the Parish Church for Cleadon Park, South Shields.

Located right on Cleadon Park on Quarry Lane, next to the children’s play area, this modern Church of England building houses a warm and welcoming community.

Baptisms, weddings and funerals are held here alongside weekly (Sunday, 9.30am and Tuesday, 10am) worship. Messy Church meets monthly, on the last Saturday of the month, at 10.30am. We also meet for coffee on the second Saturday of the month in the Church Hall, with exceedingly good bacon sandwiches. All are welcome!

Our babies and toddlers group Bertie's is open on Tuesday mornings in the Community Hall, 9.15-11.15 and Thursday afternoons, 12.45-2.45pm. All are welcome. Friends Together meet the first Wednesday afternoon of the month for coffee/tea, cake and company, 1.30-3pm. On Tuesday afternoons, our crafters take over the hall, and welcome everyone to knit, natter, crochet, chat and more. All very welcome. Lifts can be arranged. Rainbows and Brownies meet in the Church Hall, which is also available to hire for regular or one-off events. To enquire about any of the guiding organisations, or about church hall hire, please call Liza on 07538 719 585.
