As the new year start, we start as we mean to go on! The first of the year's coffee mornings is on the 15th March at 10am. Famous for our bakes we also serve very decent 'real' ground coffee.. 'instant' is available if you prefer!

Held on the 4th Sunday of each month (except December and Feast days) Café Church features coffee/ tea and cake in abundant quantities! Ideal for families it usually has a theme, not too challenging, laughter, a decent song and the Lord's Prayer. Lots of local residents come to Café Church every month for the relaxed atmosphere and chat. Our door is wide enough for electric scooters, prams, walkers and well behaved dogs.

The Argus Singers are a mixed voice choir based in Chester-le-Street, with loyal members travelling to join in from all over the North East: with some coming from as far afield as Yorkshire and Lancashire. They sing in 4 up to 8 part harmony - it can be hard work, but they get a real buzz from creating a sound that they are proud of. The repertoire has something to suit all tastes, including sacred choral music, folk songs, spirituals, jazz swing and pop arrangements, and seasonal Christmas music.
