The award winning band, which was formed in 1983 by local teacher Tom Gibson, performs an array of concerts throughout the year and has even toured many European countries. St Michael & All Angels

This ancient parish church has been at the heart of our community for over a 1,000 years. It stands as a visible symbol of Christ's presence in Houghton Le Spring. It is however far more than a building, St Michael's is a group of prayerful, loving and faithful people.
