Arranged with Derek Moss Funeral Directors this service has been organised particularly for families whose loved ones have had an unattended funeral or direct cremation without a funeral service, offering another opportunity to come together, remember and reflect. You don't need to have arranged a funeral through Derek Moss or Charles Embleton Funeral Directors. Whether your loved one's funeral was arranged through ourselves, another funeral director or a direct cremation provider, you're warmly welcome.
All Souls’ Service, Sunday 1st November at 6.00 pm A gentle service of the Word, especially for those recently bereaved: to remember, to give thanks and to offer prayers of comfort. As part of the service, we traditionally read the names of the departed whose funerals we’ve held in this last year. If you would like us to include other departed loved ones please add their names (in CAPS) to the lists at the back of church.
Join us for a paws-itively wonderful morning! <br>Calling all pet parents, animal lovers, and families! <br>We are hosting a special Pet Service on Sunday, 11th October at 10:00 AM at St Michael & All Angels', Houghton-le-Spring.<br>This is an all-age and all-species worship service where we will praise God together and celebrate the wonderful animals that bring so much joy to our lives.What to bring:• Your (well-behaved!) pets for a special blessing.• Don't have a pet or looking for a quieter option? Bring your favorite cuddly soft toys instead! <br><br>Whether they have fur, feathers, scales, or fluff, all are welcome! We can't wait to see you and your animal companions there.
