50th Anniversary to commemorate the closure of Kibblesworth Colliery

On Sunday 27th October a special service was held at St Andrew's to commemorate the closure of Kibblesworth Colliery in October 1974. The service was led by the Right Honourable Bishop of Jarrow and acting Bishop of Durham, supported by Reverend George Lakenby and Reverend Brenda Jones. Refreshments, provided by the people of Kibblesworth were enjoyed by all in the church hall. Thank you to all who helped make this a very special, happy occasion.
