The walls display an array of wall hangings made by the congregation over the years. These depict a number of events in the Bible. Some have been made to celebrate various important days in the church calendar and are changed regularly to mark those occasions. A ceiling mounted projector and a drop down screen are also available in the church. There is a large entrance foyer between the Church on the right and the hall on the left. This area also has toilet facilities including a disabled toilet, notice board and a seating area where books and other information can be found. The hall is large and tall and well lit with windows that look out onto a secluded garden. There are storage facilities off the hall and a big fully fitted kitchen. Various groups hire the hall over the week, pilates, Explorers, and Scouts. The hall is also hired out for other events too. At the front of the church is a large car park surrounded by a large grassed area with shrubs and flowers. Disabled access is available.
National Highways funded the purchase as a contribution to the community and it was officially handed over on 7th June 2023. A plaque is to be placed next to the defibrillator to commemorate the event.
The party started at 3pm with a warm welcome from George our non stipendiary vicar. He also provided music spanning the decades of Charles' life. 39 people attended. A Royal wordsearch started off the activities, followed by a Royal quiz which was very challenging!! Rounding off the activities was a Royal game of bingo which was very interesting. Instead of numbers the caller read out topics related to the Royals eg palaces , crowns etc. The winners won a small prize. It was then time for the magnificent buffet provided by all attending. There was a coronation cake with a photo of the king on top. The cake was cut by Anne and Ken. It was Anne's birthday and she was congratulated on her wonderful coronation hat. A toast was raised to the King and Queen followed by a rendition of the national anthem. George said a closing prayer and people continued to chat before leaving for home. A wonderful, joyous occasion. As usual many helped in the setting up and clearing away. Thank you to all.
