Getting here
by Metro or Bus - we are right opposite HEWORTH metro and bus station (2 min walk).
by Car - we are located just off the A184, on the junction with the B1426.
Approaching from Newcastle/Gatehead (west) turn right onto the B1426 at the traffic lights with Heworth Metro on your right. Entrance to the church with limited parking is then immediately on your left (parking outside the church gate).
Approaching from the East either turn off just before the Heworth Metro / B1426 and park in the Church Hall car park (the entrance is just before the lights - NOTE - DON'T ENTER THE BUS LANE UNTIL THE BROKEN LINE JUST OUTSIDE THE CHURCH HALL! (there are bus lane cameras here!!).... OR, turn left at the lights (the church is on your left, Heworth Metro ahead) onto the B1426 and then immediately left again and park in front of the church gates.
Limited free parking available at the front of Church(Access only from Shields Road) or in the Church Hall Car Park (access only from A184 westbound) - turn left into the church hall just before the traffic lights. Note: there is a bus lane just before the hall car park entrance. Be careful not to drive in the bus lane as there is a traffic camera there.). Pay and Display parking is also available at the Metro opposite.
Pedestrian access is available from the Bypass, Shields Road and Sunderland Road Villas.
If you require STEP FREE ACCESS please approach the church through the car park and through the Lychgate - the other footpaths have steps or uneven paving.
