About Us

The Parish of Christchurch serves the communities of Hardwick, Ragworth, Sheraton Park, Salters Lane and Primrose Hill and has two churches,  St John's, Durham Road and St Chad's, on Ragpath Lane, Roseworth.

In addition, we have strong links with our Church of England Primary School, St John's on St Johns Way, Ragworth and we are part of an ecumenical project named "Hope", a Faith in Our Community project on Hardwick.

In our worship and in our daily lives we seek to live out Jesus' command "to love God and to love our neighbour"

St John the Baptist church located on Durham Road, which leads into the centre of town.

It was built in 1983 as a multi-purpose building which is used by a number of different community groups during the week

We have a book club which is held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 5pm at St Johns. New members always welcome. Contact Jenny Hodgson on  07941 716603 for more information
