We invite you, your family and friends to a special service at 3pm on the afternoon of Nov 5th, at St Cuthbert's Church, Billingham. For many years, around this season, we've held services to remember those who have recently died. This service builds on that tradition, but we want to think more widely.

We’ve called it ‘Remembering and Caring’ because there will be the opportunity to pray for and remember our loved ones, but also to celebrate their care for us, our care for them, and the care given by professionals. The costly kind of love and care that forms and changes our lives.

If you've been affected yourself, if you know someone else close to you who has been, or if you know someone who cares day in, day out as their job - usually more than just a job - then please come, and invite them too.

St Peter's Wolviston

Until the early 20th Century, St Peter's and St Cuthbert's were the only churches in the area, but as the town of Billingham grew rapidly, new estates grew that now link the whole area. However, St Peter's remains in many ways a village church, serving the long-established village of Wolviston, but contributing energy and imagination to the Billingham Team Parish.

Our Billingham Team Parish

Safeguarding

Our Parish is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm across all our congregations and activities. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
