St John the Baptist, Egglescliffe

St John the Baptist is an Anglican church in the small village of Egglescliffe, close to Yarm and Stockton-on-Tees, in the Diocese of Durham.

There has been a church on this site since the 12th Century, and the current building has many ancient architectural features and an interesting history.

We are a friendly and welcoming church with regular services of worship, family and children’s events, and we also hold funeral, baptisms and wedding services.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Egglescliffe is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Durham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO Brian Robinson (07730 565788) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
