On June 30th, 2023, Rev David Spokes ended his 9 years at our benefice of St Stephen, Willington and St Paul, Hunwick. He has now retired for a well-earned rest after 38 years of faithful service as a priest. He will be missed.  However, the benefice is well serviced by Ven Shirley Griffiths (a retired archdeacon) who has been an active member of St Stephen's for a number of years and will have oversight of worship and occasional offices in the benefice as well as continuing the other work she already does.  In addition we have an SSM priest, Rev Graham Copley and a licensed Deanery Reader, Stephen Gardiner, also at St Stephen's.  We are fortunate, and grateful, in that we have a number of retired clergy who are willing to step in and help.
