St Mary's Cockerton

Welcome to the St Mary's A Church Near You Page.

Serving the largest parish in Darlington, the people of St Mary's come from all walks of life and backgrounds, but we're united though our faith in God and in our desire to serve him and our community.

At St Mary’s we celebrate and affirm every person who enters and do not discriminate in any way.

St Mary’s offers the Prayers of Love and Faith which enable us to pray with and for a same-sex couple who love one another and who wish to give thanks for and mark that love in faith before God. If you want to know more please get in touch.

The Parochial Church Council of St Mary's, Cockerton has adopted and approved the Church of England policy for promoting a safer church. This policy deals with all aspects of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. A full text can be found here Promoting a safer Church | The Church of England
