On Friday 28th June five classes from Staindrop Primary attended the church to participate in the Eucharist Journey prayer spaces. Six stations around the church were set up to explain the Eucharist service - what is said and done and why. The church was busy all day, and the children joined in extremely well."The children thoroughly enjoyed it and came away with a much better understanding of the Eucharist following the activities." said RE coordinator Mrs Coles .
This session we had not only Heather on piano, but Claire on flute to accompany our singing of well known carols. Many thanks to them for the addition of music. Some lovely memories were shared of childhood Christmases and everyone enjoyed the festive refreshments. Our next session is on 15th April and will be Easter themed so start collecting things for your Easter bonnets!
