Rev'd Eileen Harrop leads the Service on Holy Communion at St Mary's, Gainford and on behalf of the Parish of St Andrew's, Winston on Sunday 11 April 2021.

This service follows the sad news of the death of HRH The Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh on Friday 9 April 2021. The sermon refers to his life, and a candle for the repose of his soul is lit before churchwarden Peter Graham leads prayers for Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family, and the National Anthem is played at the end of the service. The organist is Joshua Greenwell, and the first reading is read by Nancy Hull. The service continues to be conducted with Covid-19 measures being observed.
